It’s official. Rahm Emanuel will be gracing City Hall beginning May 16th as Chicago’s new mayor. Apparently, he was the favorite of all the candidates running in this election. According to the RedEye, he “won 40 of the 50 wards, getting more than 70 percent of the vote in the heavily populated lakefront wards.” They also reported that he “won with more than 50 percent of the vote in wards with large African-American populations, raking up margins of at least 2-to-1 over the major black candidate, Braun.”
So, congratulations to Mr. Emanuel.
