  1. Thank you for sharing this site. I want to my site a big huge health resource for Chicago. This is appreciated.

  2. You need to contact the state for more information, but normally they send you the documents to renew.

  3. This is a great program, BUT anytime I call in for any service, like card renewal, the wait time is ridiculous. Waiting on hold for over an hour is not convenient at all! Also if there is a renewal how ever often it may be, a renewal form or some type of awareness should be issued to notify anyone so that when you go to the pharmacy to get your prescription, you will not run into these problems like I am

  4. Can this help with not getting a fee for not having a medical insurance.. I’m talking about the Obama law?

  5. That was me exact problem Ruby. Apparently my benefits ran out and I never received a request for renewal. I got to the pharmacy to pick up my monthly prescription and was turned away due to the medication not being covered because my coverage has expired. I work Monday-Friday 8-5 and it is impossible to contact them with the wait time exceeding 1 hour when my lunch break is only 30minutes. It would be nice if renewal paperwork was mailed to you 1-3 months prior to expiration so you can be reapproved before your benefits run out. Now, from my understanding renewal is required yearly.

  6. Tara same thing happened to me .My birth control is 117$ a mth and I didnt get anything about my card expiring ..Now I am off the pills and on nothing .I dont get any help with anything else and im a single Mom ..Funny we cant get our stuff to prevent from having more kids but will pay for us to have another baby ..Makes sense..NOT!

  7. Brittany, I don’t if this program is still active. You need to contact the state for more information on health care options.
