On Monday, January 18, 2010, DuSable Museum of African American History will celebrate its annual Martin Luther King Day (formerly known as Martinmas Day). Guests will enjoy a full-day of family-friendly performances, films, and tributes honoring Dr. King. A symposium focusing on activists who joined Dr. King on his journey and a youth non-violence forum will also be held. Check out the full schedule of events here.
Activities will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Admission is $8 for adults; $5 for children 4 years old and older; $6 for DuSable Museum members. DuSable Museum is located at 740 East 56th Place (57th & Cottage Grove).
