Essential Duties:
- Adhere to all guidelines, policies and procedures of the station, Clear Channel Communications, Inc., the FCC and all other federal, state and local laws.
- Maintain mandatory Label Relations compliance documentation.
- Work with the Program Director on delivery and content of music.
- Add new music each week.
- Attend station promotions when scheduled.
- Lead and compile research for weekly music meetings.
- Assign duties, supervise and coach on-air talent.
- Keep personal FCC broadcast license up-to-date.
- Assist the Promotions Manager in obtaining product giveaways from the record labels and insure appropriate contacts are handled properly.
- Production dubs when assigned.
- Build music library.
- Ability to host on-air broadcasts.
- Collect and compile consumer music download data.
- Control and organize music library and inventory under the direction of the Program Director.
- Creatively generate ideas and provide recommendations to the station’s Program Director for music features to be broadcast on the station.
- Handle day-to-day scheduling of all music aired on the station in coordination with the Manager/Program Director.
- Responsible for the daily development and generation of the station’s music log.
- Serve as the station’s liaison between record companies and the station.
Required Skills/Education & Certification:
- High School diploma; College preferred.
- Knowledge of GSelector or V.12 Selector music scheduling software
- Proficient with NexGen digital studio software.
- Three years experience in broadcast radio.
- Knowledge of all FCC rules and regulations.
- Expert computer skills (MS Word, Excel, & Outlook; Web Browsers, Social Networking sites, etc.)
