Under the direction of the Superintendent of Maintenance or designate, responsible

for all routine building maintenance functions such as preventative maintenance,

repairs and adjustments on miscellaneous power-operated equipment,

pneumatic/hydraulic systems, HVAC, electrical and mechanical work. Responsible

for completing all required documents and reports for work performed. Other duties

as assigned or required.

NOTE: This is a bargained for position (Union) and is in accordance with the

Qualifications:

Qualified candidate must be 21 years of age have at least three (3) years

experience in comparable field. Must have or be able to obtain an “A” Commercial

Driver’s License and Air-Conditioning Certification, successfully pass examination

for the position, have the ability to operate all Pace equipment and have a complete

set of hand tools sufficient to perform the duties of the position. Must have the ability

to read/follow blueprints, schematics, maintenance manuals and to operate test

equipment. Must be capable of heavy lifting. The performance of these duties may

IBS Technical Specialist

Location: South Holland

Job Description:

Coordinates the maintenance activities on all IBS equipment on all buses at the

operating divisions and contract carriers. Oversees the warranty program for all

equipment including but not limited to the documentation of repairs and the

inventory of all assets. Develop and test new system operational files for new IBS

installs and forward files to HQ for downloading. Analyze reported IBS issues form

Divisions, Carriers and HQ to determine whether it’s improper downloads,

communication problems, radio malfunction, IVLU failure or other equipment. Trains

operating division and technical services staff on troubleshooting and garage level

repairs. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum 3 years of progressively responsible experience in the maintenance,

programming, and installations of Intelligent Transportation Systems equipment;

strong analytical and problem solving skills, must possess a strong background

troubleshooting digital and analog circuits to component level; ability to respond

quickly within a dynamic environment with tight deadlines; demonstrated

interpersonal and written communication skills; MS Windows applications is

required; License/Certification Requirements: Valid Driver’s License. Must be

proficient in computer word processing programs and common data base computer

applications to the extent required by specific job functions. Must be prepared to

write documents related to job duties using the word processing applications, and

maintain an accurate data base of all IBS repairs.

Payroll Supervisor

Job Description:

Under the direction of the Section Accounting Manager, the Payroll Supervisor is

responsible for supervising the Payroll Accountant and acts as a liaison to the

operating division payroll administrators assisting them with training and questions

regarding payroll and the payroll system. Responsible for administering and

troubleshooting the payroll system, coordinating system version upgrades and

communicating changes to other payroll administrators. This position is also

responsible for reviewing the Headquarters’ payroll processed by the Payroll

Accountant, preparation of quarterly census and informational returns, the

processing of wage garnishments and child support orders, preparation of weekly

and monthly payroll reporting and back up for the processing of Headquarters’

payroll. Responsible for the remittance of 401(k) and pension funds to third party

administrators, reconciliation of all 401(k) and pension funds to ensure compliance

with corporate and union plans, assisting outside auditors with their year end audits

of various 401(k) and defined contribution pension plans and various reporting of

401(k) and pension data to the Human Resources Department. This position

reconciles and oversees paid time off plans, processes the payment of quarterly

unemployment taxes and coordinates with the outside payroll service on the

processing of payroll taxes and year end W-2s.

Qualifications:

Qualified candidates must have five years experience with automated payroll

processing systems and three years of supervisory experience. The candidate must

be comfortable using a computer and have a strong knowledge of Excel.

Experience using Crystal Reports or other report writer programs is required.

Candidates must be accurate, detail oriented and possess good communication

skills. The person in this position will be privy to confidential information so it is

essential that they are discreet and trustworthy. A Bachelor’s Degree in Business or

equivalent education experience is required. Qualified candidate must have a good

· Work with other departments to address general maintenance issues such

as: changing light bulbs, repairing broken windows, picking up needed supplies, and
