I would like to thank all of the men who participated in Real Men Cook on Sunday, June 20, 2010. I prepared Carter's deluxe turkey chili., i.e. Black-eyed peas and Pinto/Lima beans. Even though, the event was great, I saw a lack of cooperation and prepareness of Cativating Marketing group. The inside cooks were not given all of their supplies to make for a safe and healthier cooking environment. lack of heating burners for some of the inside cooks was a violation of the sanitation code. The inside cooks could not maintain the coded heat for their prepared foods. Lastly, the KK security guards did not even know the co-founder Yvette Moyo and kept her on the outside for approximately 45 minutes. In addition, a bottle company was allowed to sale water and make a profit. This latter statement is a contradictory of our purpose for that day.
Thank you for providing feedback on the event. I have several questions .
1. Was your turkey chili good and do you have any left?
2. How did Ms. Moyo finally get in?
3. How did the event go overall?
I apologize for the delay in responding but here it is:
1.The turkey chili was excellent. A 91 year old lady tasted it and she responded that it was the best chili she have ever had. The line formed quickly to taste my chili and it was all gone in 2 hours.
2. She was finally escorted in by members of Real Men Cook.
3. The event was good overall but it could have been much better.
Hey, I’m just happy you cared enough to share. Thanks for your input. What do you think would make it better?
Hey, this looks great. See you Saturday when Real Men Cook kicks off our 2011 year. We’ll be at our annual cook’s breakfast at 9 am at Washburne on the KKC campus at 6301 S. Halsted.
Yvette, I missed this event, but please keep me abreast of future events and I’ll do my best to support.
