Concerned members of the 10800 S. Green Block Club saw the recent Haitian earthquake damage and devastation and knew they had to do something, anything to help their suffering brothers and sisters.
One block club member told the BULLETIN: “We heard that many of the Haitians were forced from their homes and the evacuees trying to get to America with literally the clothes on their backs…We spread the word to our neighbors and immediately began collecting clothes and personal items that would be useful to the earthquake victims.”
