Karen Lewis, leader of the  Chicago Teachers Union (CTU) has officially announced a strike. Here is what Chicago Public Schools are offering to help in this situation. Parents, time to put your alternative child care plan in place. Supporters, it’s time to call Mayor Rahm Emanuel and CEO Jean-Claude Brizard to express your support for teachers.The longer they are out, the greater the impact on the students.

Over 400,000 students will be affected. Pray for the safety of our babies.
