The TIF Illumination Project (TIP) will conduct a workshop on “TIF 101 – Explaining Chicago’s Tax Increment Financing Program” at the CivicLab on Wednesday, October 30 at 7pm. The workshop will be conducted by Tom Tresser, the Lead Illuminator for TIP. Tom has conducted 18 Illuminations across the city – exposing 152 TIFs in 26 Wards.

Attend this 90 minute workshop and YOU will learn what over 1,600 people have learned – how TIFs REALLY work. The cost is only $10 and will be used to support the operations of the CivicLab, which is an all-volunteer effort needed support for its efforts. Please register via EventBrite @ https://tif-101-10-30.eventbrite.com.

Also, The TIF Illumination Project has a petition demanding that the Mayor empty the TIF accounts. Sign their MoveOn petition today! When they reach 5,000 names, they will deliver the petition to the Mayor.
